My unscientific research found this:

Since 1987-88 the Bruins are 62-79-12 vs. the Habs in the regular season and took 7 out of 11 playoff series from them.

(I didn't tally shoot out losses, just counted them as wins/losses)

I went to Hockey Reference and looked at the Bruins record by year and did a tally chart.

Probably missed a game or two along the way but it should be close,

This is a good link. Hockey-reference.com

used the above and it seems you were very close, just a little off. Thanks guys!

I wish that showed the number of powerplays and not just powerplay goals...

never mind... PIM - Bruins 2967, Habs 3042.

Holy crap would i have lost lots of money on that bet.

Good to see an honest fan. :thumbu:

"Only in Montréal", they often say.

So far this year, in terms of (PP time - PK time), the Canadiens are at -6:28 at home and +6:12 on the road, for a total of -0:16.

Who knew?

I try to not have Black and Gold glasses on all the time. But those are just raw numbers, there is no context to them, number of powerplays while down a goal in the last half of the 3rd period is tougher to track down ;)

It`s WHEN the refs have seemingly decided to call the B`s for a penalty that has always irked me, not how even those calls have been over the years.

I've got too much time on my hands.

I just checked all the Canadiens games this year.

In 12 of them, they had a one goal lead at some point during the last 10 minutes.

In 6 of those, no PP or PK, in 4, they had a PK, in 1, they had a PP (with 10 seconds left) and they had 2 PPs in the last one.

In 7 of them, they trailed by a goal at some point during the last 10 minutes.

In 6 of those, no PP or PK, and in the last one they had one of each.

You (or someone else) could do the same for the Bruins. ;)
