Firing Boudreau is entirely pointless. We're simply a poorly constructed team floundering. Even if a new coach did create some sort of resurgence like Boudreau did last year. All we accomplished is a nice 15th place finish.

Hell, let's say by some miracle we actually did somehow make the playoffs. Our reward? Getting absolutely slaughtered by the very team who just beat us today. Or we could get Colorado.

Let Boudreau command the rebuild and maybe we can actually become a good team again and not one praying and clinging to playoff miracles.

If they had a coach that had them defending as a unit around their net they would be far better off.

Not saying the personnel is perfect, but they are a freewheeling team that looks like they have no clue in their own end. The Forwards especially.

Stillman played more than Bear.. that is all. Goodnight.

Bear was the worst D tonight

Just watched on delay....Demko is laughably bad. Franchise player lol he's useless right now unless you want esy goals. Just dump it at him or shoot from distance and he'll reward...talk about fall from grace. Wow what a mess never seen anything like it

Two times Demko flubs a clearing attempt and both times they end up in the goal. That’s pretty much the game.

Tonight was the perfect example of a team that doesn't understand team defense vs a team that does.

Seemingly every rebound Vegas had 4 guys boxing out, even Petterssons goal he had 2 guys draped on him. While we look like a house team around our net. Forwards allowing the D to be outnumbered, playing soft, in Horvats case abandoning his position. Pettersson is far and away the best defensive forward.

I'm tired of blaming the D personnel it's so lazy & tired. Aside from Bear I thought the rest were fine, the team just has no structure.

And because Bruce has them playing freewheeling hockey, our players are piling up the points - getting more expensive - while the team accomplishes nothing.
This is such a key point. And a reason why bad teams end up with WTF contracts.

We saw this team try to play tight hockey in Green’s final season with the help of Shaw and they couldn’t score to save their lives.

This one was a big one to get in the micro.

Would have been two good (for this team's standards) b2b wins against the two early division leaders.

Now you go and play the two best teams in the conference on the road, and then follow it up with a game 22H later in SJ.

Optics will be pretty bad if they lose the next two games. They're six games out from the 25 game mark where they were 8-15-2 and fired Green and Benning, and they need to go 3-3 over the next stretch to be ahead of that pace.

It’s so sad this teams season is once again over by the 25 game mark probably even earlier than that.

I tend to agree. Give the fans a couple more Bruce there it is and then hire my boy Tocchet so we have the best chance at OEL jumping ship.

It's over now, if not 2 weeks ago.

Beat case scenario (in terms of standings) if the team has a run they had last year post Benning, they're looking at ~90 points...

With the way the team has been playing they may not crack 70.

Demko shitting the bed there at the end was unfortunate, but some of the people bitching about him didn’t watch the game I’m assuming lol because we had no business being in that game after 40.
Watched the whole game..He was terrible has been terrible. Don't win with pathetic AHL level goaltending.

Truth hurts but he sucks this year.

Was at the game tonight and it was very funny hearing everyone chant "bruce there it is" when there were 10 minutes left in the game like they hadn't just spent the entire season watching this team blow 90% of their third period leads.

Big time Icarus moment.

You know what's impressive? How so many posters on this board were called out as non-fans because they wanted to lose to get better, and yet, almost to a person they're all trying to come up with solutions to improve the play of the team. The absolute best thing this team can do is keep losing until they get a high pick and yet so much of what you'll read here are comments about getting rid of Myers and Stillman so the team plays better. Get a new coach, have a better defensive structure, etc, etc.

This epic amount of fail is exactly what the team needs to galvanize the Blueberries and the management to do the right thing and build the team properly instead of trying to hobble into the playoffs by selling even more of the future.

I'm continually impressed by most of you posters.
