My head says that McJesus and Drai torch the Canucks piss poor defence but it's the first game of the season so I have to be optimistic. Let's go with 6-4 for the good guys with the following predictions:
- Tyler Myers scores the first goal of the season
- Oilers score 3 PP goals & more than one poster laments the loss of our PK guru, Juolevi
- Petey absolutely snipes one top shelf
- Smith freaks out at some point and we all laugh at him

Hoglander in the top 6 and Podkolzin in the top 9, it's pretty f***ing simple Green. This mouth frothing for players like Chiasson needs to stop. Could he succeed? Of course. But Hoglander has proven MUCH more, looked really good with Horvat in the preseason, and drives offense. He moves the needle. Podkolzin needs ice time with non-4th liners to showcase his skillset. The same shit happened in Russia and he thrived when placed with players that have a top 6/9 talent. Get "PP specialist" Chiasson on the 4th line away from the top line at ES
