Only like the 4th or 5th game this year where I decided to truly watch the game rather then just follow along the scoreboard...

Think I might go back to scoreboard watching for tomorrow night.

Honestly, congrats to the Oilers. That was a ****ing beatdown. Even Bordeleau got his ass kicked. It is hard to even be mad when you get thumped that hard.

This team wants to talk about staying humble? Well there it is. Hopefully this wakes them up, and shows them they haven't earned **** yet.

This literally happens every single time we get cocky in our GDT/PGT. Chirp the nucks, allow 8. Chirp the Blues, allow 7. Say we're going to put up 7 against the Oilers, allow 8 instead.

Hope that by some miracle Hejda isn't out for a long time. Wonder if the Avs succeed in making a trade for a dman.

This team needs to find a way to stop completely unravelling every time they allow the first goal.

Best part of the game was Roy pulling the goalie with 6:30 left and then making a line change during the play to get him back in the net......then Eberle scores next shot lol.

If Hejda is out for any significant amount of time, we have to trade for a Dman.

This isn't even up for debate, really.

EJ, Benoit, Guenin, Sarich, Barrie, Holden and Hunwick is arguably just as bad as EJ, Hejda, O'Byrne, O'Brien, Barrie, Hunwick and Zanon.

Roy presser:

- They knew before the game the team would be dangerous if they exchanged chances with them on the rush, and the PP, and they need to learn from it.
- Specifically pointed out Barrie missing the net before Perron's goal being the momentum changer.
- Kept Varly in because Giggy tomorrow, and he didn't think it was Varly's fault. Varly shouldn't hang his head tonight, they gave up two breakaways, two two on one's, and other great chances.
- Difficult to say on Hejda's injury, they'll see tomorrow. They're sending him back to Denver tomorrow and having the doctor look at him.

Unless we can steal a defenseman from someone who is going to stick with this team for a while there's no point.
We were the second worst team in the league last year. Yes we have improved a lot but without Hejda we are not a playoff team. It isn't worth giving up any value if we aaren;t going to contend.

What will the pairings look like tomorrow?

Holden EJ
Benoit Sarich
Guenin Barrie

Pretty ugly. It's going to have to be about defending as a group of five.
