just got home.. glad to see us win handily, I was a bit worried that RUssia would underestimate the Swiss team..

Czechs are leading 2:1, hopefully we can get the top spot!

Ovechkin is now outscoring Crosby, and is 2nd in tournament scoring only behind Bergeron

Malkin's also got as many points as Crosby now, and Shirokov is just one behind :lol

Anyways, ROSSIYA ROSSIYA ROSSIYA ROSSIYA ROSSIYA

If it's a tie between the US and the Czechs, US gets the 2nd in the groupe and will meet Canada in the Semis! (assuming they pass the QM), which is good for Russia!

Maybe he won't have to go to Siberia after all.

Again, which underrager is leading the tournament in goals?

4 Assists for Lisin, doesn't hurt playing on the first line either.

Its good to see him there. Thought I should point out not all of them are to Ovechkin though.. the first two Russian goals were primary assists by Lisin to Vorobiev and Pestunov respectively..

He will go. To play some RSL games.

Ovechkin. 2 years ago. BTW Crosby has as many points and goals as Ovechkin had at 17: 6+1.

So if Crosby goes pointless for the rest of the tournament, he will still match Ovechkin at the same age. :yo:

No, because Ovechkin recorded 6 gooals, 1 assist in 4 games at 17. So if Crosby goes 2 games without a point, he'll be worse than Ovechkin at the same age. :yo:

To all my Russian friends.
Don't worry. After the WJC and the holidays, you are likely to see very little of me.
See, I work for a living.

....so if Crosby can get one more point, he will once again outmatch Ovechkin.

I like Ovechkin though. He is a fine player.

Ovechkin got his goals in two fine hattricks. Crosby has just gotten a bunch of tip-ins, feeding of Bergeron's work.

I see. So Ovechkin was scoreless in the other 4 games.

Bergeron has been the one to benefit from Crosby.

Yeah and he didnt score at the play-offs but he made a smart and decisive play on the game winning goal at the gold medal game. He blocked a Canadian defenseman (Steve Eminger?) and thus Eminger couldn't take away the rebound after Polushin's pass from behind of the net, then Polushin freely takes the puck again and make the pass to Trubachev who scores game winning goal.
