I remember when I thought 1 PM start times were cool...when I was in college and didn't have class.

Won't see this one.

This is one game I would just love to see Giroux dominate Tavares. Because we all know what is coming if JT rips us apart and G is a no show.

Remember, no Islanders fans care about the comparison and every single Giroux vs Tavares thread and discussion is started by Flyers fans. :sarcasm::laugh:

My wishlist for the game and probably for the rest of the season: Voracek and Giroux get on the scoreboard, players stay healthy and avoid injuries, defense and PK show some upward trending ... but at the end of the day we drop most of the games and get a top-pick at the draft.

WOW...gotta say i called the coach going with Emery every game totaly wrong..

this pretty much cements Zepp being the new backup at this point..

(dont think i'll change my score predict. thou)

So not to get ahead of things but does Emery have a two way contract or will he need to be waived if Zepp replaces him as the backup?

Emery I believe makes 1 million this year. He has to go through waivers and then money would be left on the book since I believe we can only stash 800K of a players salary in the minors. So we would be left with 200K in dead space with him in the AHL but Zepp is the better option right now. Emery might get another shot next year as a back up(not here, somewhere else) but I think it's becoming apparent his career is coming to a close.

Times have certainly changed. I always viewed the Islanders as an easy opponent, but now I just hope they don't unload 5+ goals on us...

I still don't think Zepp replaces Emery this year when Mason returns. Zepp is called up up on an emergency basis and will not have to clear waivers to be sent back down.
