Id really like Carolina to throw an offersheet at 1 of them. They have tremendous young D and some good young forwards, but still missing that offensive leader. They have cap space to do an offersheet as well. Itd be 4 1sts, but with a improved forward core, they could challenge for top 5 in East so those picks become 15-30th overall, and 4 of those isnt that much.

Gaudreau isn't eligible for an offer sheet and I would be shocked if Monahan was willing to sign one. It's pretty telling when management brings 2 players to the draft, current captain Gio and unsigned RFA Monahan. He wants to be in Calgary.

Francis won't OS a player, especially not for 4 firsts. If either comes on the block (they won't) then Francis will likely make a huge offer. Players like Gaudreau don't get traded.
