Last night's game was kinda dead. We didn't generate offense and we didn't use our speed that much. I'm confused who our go-to-guys are.

For example: last 2 minutes we should put our best players on the ice regardless of who's in which lines.

CHI will have Kane, Toews, Hossa, Sharp, Keith extra Shaw
ANA - Getzlaf, Kesler, Perry, ...
PIT - Crosby, Malkin, Letang, ...
DET - Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Nyguist, ...
DAL - Seguin, Spezza, Benn, ...
SJS - Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Courteu, Burns

Who do we put out? The same game lines.
Plus we lack a go-to-guy, as much as I love Galchenyuk, he lacks elite speed, there's no question about hands but that will prevent him from being in the elite. We need to trade for Taylor Hall.

Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Hall-Plekanec-Subban extra Gallagher

Our go-to-guys are Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Subban-Markov. Those are the only 1st line/1st pair talents on the team.

I like how you mention Chucky's speed or lack thereof... which i dont agree with... and then you mention a bunch of players that many of, are slower then galchenyuk. Truth is.. you cant tell the future.. but Chucky is on the right track. being a .66 PPg player at 20 years old.. while barely having any powerplay time (other then the last week) on a team thats system and coach is about not being scored on... rather then scoring....

Pacioretty : 39 goals
Plekanec : 20 goals
Gallagher : 19 goals

You'd think our first scorer totalizing as many goals as #2 and #3 together might be a good clue as to who's our go-to guy...

Therrien goes to Desharnais nearly every time. There's a reason we don't pile up the loser points to stay at the top of the standings like Detroit.

my point is plekanec, gallagher are never on in the last two minutes. its always desharnais. i don't know why he should be on. therrien thinks desharnais-pacioretty can pull something off last minute.

please put galchenyuk, plekanec, pacioretty, gallagher, subban on last minute.

No one's going to be a gamebreaker if Therrien continues with this 3rd liner on every line approach.

With Pacioretty down, he puts Bourny up there?

So two fourth liners, Weise and Bournival occupy your top two LW spots. Thats simply idiotic.

There is just no reasoning for that and frankly it's inexcusable.

Our best 5 right now would probably be
Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Sekac
Markov-Subban
Gallagher or Pleks for a 6th man
I feel pretty confident in that lineup to make something happen.

Therrien had an injury free roster and would use Weise on his top line

If Patch is hurt for a substantial amount of time, we're ****ed.

He'll likely try Bourni, Weise, Tangradi, before finally putting Sekac with Galch.

Subban for me used to be the ultimate gamebreaker.

If he succeeded or not, in the last 5 minutes of the game he would be VISIBLY trying as hard as he could to get that puck in the net.

Un-fortunatley someone has tried to kill that in him.
