Extremely tough matchup, 2nd night of a B2B, we don't start games on time at the best of conditions, W3dgewood, other team is always "angry/desperate/pissed off" vs the Stars' perpetual state of non-emotion.

The officials tonight (Pochmara, Hanson) also are some of the most inclined to favor the home team in PP opportunities which obviously plays right into the Oilers' hands. Meanwhile the Stars continue to get reamed by the officiating with the fewest PP opportunities in the league.

Going to need to score at least 4, likely more.

Agree it sounds redundant to need to change anything after 6-1-1 but the reality is when you start playing top opposition..slow starts kill you.

At the momentum can't class Edmonton as that, but as a rule..you'd want to start better than Dallas do. Complete teams don't have clinics in their armour

Welcome back to "Who Is That Player?" We're going to go in a slightly different direction today. Not that there aren't some fringy players on the Oilers, but instead let's take a look at the top line. Yes, the most fearsome line in hockey, led by none other than Warren Foegele.

Yes, you, Warren.

A 6'2 winger from Ontario, Foegele went the Justin Ertel Route™ of briefly attempting an NCAA career before bolting back to the OHL.

Originally a 3rd round pick by Carolina (taken 22 picks after the inimitable Brett Pollock [a star in the Slovakian league!] and 8 picks before the tantalizing Alex Peters [coincidentally still playing for the Oilers' AHL affiliate in Bakersfield]), Foegele saw himself traded to Alberta in exchange for Ethan Bear [no longer in league].

Sporting a career high of 30 points, Foegele quickly found himself in the Oilers' Top 6, for reasons known only to the Oilers. Successive 26 and 28 point campaigns have found him elevated further to the McDrai line. Luckily, points are not what's expected from this "hard-worker" who "brings his lunch pail" each night.

This concludes "Who Is That Player?"

If any of you are still having trouble getting your Bally+ TV app to work, I may have the answer. With their most recent update, they have stopped supporting certain older TVs. By old, I mean for sure the app no longer works on Samsung TVs made in 2018.

All the Bally app stuff has me glad that apartment complexes are forcing you to pay for cable/internet as part of your rent these days. Wouldn't have been able to watch without it.

EDIT:

Well, considering the guide says Stars Pregame and it's some tennis bullshit, I might be out of luck even with cable tonight.

Gotta love having to watch a bootleg ESPN+ stream of the Bally feed because they can't even get it on right on their cable channel let alone get their app.

Glad they're making hockey more accessible. :sarcasm:

I accidentally watch other sports with how readily available they are, meanwhile, we have to work to get access to what we already pay for.
