Ottawa not scoring but they are not allowing many either. With a patchwork line-up it will be tough but if Bob can wake up, the D play better, we get the puck deep, keep the legs moving and aggressively forecheck we can win. Go Jackets.

I would expect Bobrovsky in net tonight, then for CMac to play one of either Friday or Saturday. With all these back to backs in November, we are really going to have to make a concerted effort to avoid fatigue.

I'll leave it to those of you who understand the intricacies of the game better than I to opine on Richards' coaching decisions, but I do like his response in today's Dispatch to the current record and injury situation:

Richards said he was not content with a 4-4 start, regardless of the rash of injuries and a schedule that included games at San Jose, Anaheim and Los Angeles in a span of four days.

“It’s mediocre, it’s average,†Richards said. “We have injuries. That’s no excuse. You have to find solutions. As a coach, I have to be better. As players, we have to be better. It doesn’t matter who is out of the lineup. We have to find ways to win games.â€

I'm interested to see how Atkinson plays on the top line after the injury he had. They said on CBJ in 30 that he won't be any extra facial gear, so hopefully that's a good sign that he's healed pretty well.
