Goose scored a nice goal, didn't look too effective to me on defense but nobody else did either.

Thompson looked entirely lost to me. I think he needs another year minimum to have a chance.

Hall was good, but they traded him for junk. RNH is passable, but not a core piece for them.

Are you talking about the oilers, or the players? I'd say Hall and RNH are both below average 1st OAs, but they're not total fails: Hall has a heart and RNH had a 100 point season last year.

I'm not defending the oilers lol. My comment that started off this thread was "i cant believe edmonton had 4 first overalls in 6 years" and I was responding to "A lot of good it did them." which I think is a bit silly because they'd probably be worse without 4 1st overall picks including mcdavid. They've made the playoffs a few years in a row and also had a conference final. They should be better, but they're not a bad team --- they're a playoff team with the most entertaining player in the league.

I feel for Cooley. He had like maybe a chance on two of those goals. Now that the tank is secure I was hoping to see a little life from the younger players. No dice here.

I’m incrementally more of favor of making some signings and periphery moves to bolster the team for next season.
