Vejmelka for Vezina
PREVIEW
Much attention is being paid to the resolve - or lack thereof - off the Penguins. After dropping a 5-1 game to St. Louis, the Penguins followed that up by giving up one-goal leads to the Flyers (19:41 of the 3rd) and Hurricanes (18:04 of the 3rd) before losing both games. Grabbing two points at a raucous Bridgestone Arena would be a step in the right direction. At this point, it doesn't have to be pretty - just get it done.
Meanwhile, the Predators are trying to find their game as the playoffs are right around the corner. Even though they have been picking up wins this season (42-27-5, 2nd in the Central), they have yet to show the level of play that had people labeling them as Stanley Cup contenders. Brian Boyle (New Jersey), Mikeal Granlund (Minnesota), Cody McLeod (New York Rangers), and Wayne Simmonds (Philadelphia) were all brought in to give the team a boost.
