PREVIEW

Much attention is being paid to the resolve - or lack thereof - off the Penguins. After dropping a 5-1 game to St. Louis, the Penguins followed that up by giving up one-goal leads to the Flyers (19:41 of the 3rd) and Hurricanes (18:04 of the 3rd) before losing both games. Grabbing two points at a raucous Bridgestone Arena would be a step in the right direction. At this point, it doesn't have to be pretty - just get it done.

Meanwhile, the Predators are trying to find their game as the playoffs are right around the corner. Even though they have been picking up wins this season (42-27-5, 2nd in the Central), they have yet to show the level of play that had people labeling them as Stanley Cup contenders. Brian Boyle (New Jersey), Mikeal Granlund (Minnesota), Cody McLeod (New York Rangers), and Wayne Simmonds (Philadelphia) were all brought in to give the team a boost.

Do not despair, we have the MOOSE! Preds haven't scored on Murr since Game 5 of the SCFs. Rinne broods...

Lol...if Rinne is into the home cooking though it’ll be a tight one...I’m not high on the Pens rn without Geno and the ghosts of Kessel and Horny....in case no one noticed

Let's go boys. A win here goes a long way towards solidifying a spot.

there
Bjugstad is looking strong lately. I think this team's major problem is that our defense is so slow that we are not keeping the pucks in the zone long enough for long cycles and wearing other teams out like we use to. That and Simon being on a 2nd line. Oh and that major issue of Horny and Phil not being able to score a goal. And Geno hurt, ffs.

Things I'd like to see tonight:
-Offense from lines other than the top line
-But that doesn't mean they shouldn't score too. Sid needs another 100 point season just because reasons.
-Don't get scored on when the opposition pulls their goalie. Seriously, this is maddening at this point.

Also, shoot the puck into the net when the opposition goalie is on the bench. Please God. It's not that hard.

Interesting games now that each game has real meaning. Pens need to be healthy but more importantly, smart and winning when it counts.

I'm just hoping for a win. Teams play doesn't excite me anymore. No structure, just looks like a free skate.
