I know we are facing the Sabres, but this is a test for us where we normally let up against weaker opponents. Pedal to the metal boys!

Hi Pens fans. Congratulations, this is likely a shutout win for your goaltender! Last year, we got shut out 3 times in a row. We can meet that tonight, easily.

What I'm really after is that 1929 Blackhawks record: 8 in a row is pretty amazing.
We want a 8-5 win but Sheary with all 5pts for you guys.

Sheary has 4 points in 2 games against the Pens this season.

The Pens are also 0-2 against Buffalo. Blowing leads and losing in OT both times. Hopefully that trend stops tonight.

Rusty skating in a non contact sweater is a good sign.

Letang not with the team is a bad sign.

This feels like 2017 all over again.

Unfortunately it is starting to look like there is more to Letang's injury than they are letting on. I know that Sully and the organization are usually very tight lip about injuries. But we went from "Letang might play on the weekend" to "he has an illness, its not injury related" and now Letang's not even practicing.

So unfortunately it looks like Trotman will stay up a while longer. At least the rest of the D has picked it up.

Well when he fell it looked like he hurt his shoulder. Might be a slight separation.

Time to boost Sheary's point totals again. T minus 9 points and counting.

Operation Leprechaun is a go.

Sheary's best 13-game stretch this season is...9 points. Sadly, he'll probably fall just short and/or he'll get scratched after accumulating 39. Could also come down to the 4 games he missed so far as well. Wish the was some clause in the trade that if he played at a 40-point pace for 70+ games to nullify the possibility of him getting scratched/injured affecting the trade condition.

Poor Kristopher Letang; taken from our beautiful world too soon by the Groats. If he'd only listened to Danny Duberstein.

The only "positive" thing is that Maatta isn't skating either, and he was in the past (hasn't ZAR also been? he's off today as well), so maybe it's not the absolutely worst.

But it probably is.
