So the wild cards play in the WC #1 against the other division winners?

They play 1a and 1b

Whichever team is in the first place overall of the conference plays WC2 (8)
The team in first place of the other division plays WC1 (7)

The two wild cards are the two teams with the highest points AFTER the 3 teams in each of the divisions.

So basically where the standings are now, if it remained that way to the end of the season, we would be playing against LA in the WC #1. Dallas against Minnesota in the WC #2. Boston against Detroit in WC#1. Washington against Pittsburgh in WC #2. Is that correct?

Just click on Wildcard when you look at the NHL standings not conference or division.
