Wilson/Smith are definately part of the problem, but are also part of the solution.
If they play up to their potential, that's 2/3rds of a very nice second line.
On the other hand, thier failure to progress to that potential (particularly Wilson) is a large part of the reason our forwards are the mess they are. Smith's putting up good numbers, but hasn't been consistent.
If they continue to improve, our top 6 could quickly be:
Forsberg/Jarnkrok/2014 top 5 draft pick
HQ/Wilson/Smith
That's not Chicago/StLou good, but good enough to challenge for the playoffs and hope to get lucky/hot at the right time.
If I was Poile - i'd ask for another medical report on Rinne - maybe he's not 100% and would like an early vacation - just come back strong in September.
