Quesnel, B.C.

Blue & Green are all I see, on my beloved Team
Black and Yellow our history, Flying skate we used to be
Our favourite Jersey

Many Years low, so rising now and beyond, I imagine
Front Office calculates the lines of reason
Push the salary cap, watch it bend

Overthinking, office analyzing separate the heart from the mind
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Admit my fault and see the wisdom of the New F.O.
Feed my will to feel the moment drawing way outside the lines

Blue & Green are all I see, on my beloved Team
Black & Yellow our history, Flying Skate we used to be
Our favourite Jersey

There is so much more
And beckons me to look through to these infinite possibilities
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
Drawn outside the lines of reason
Push the envelope, watch it bend

Overthinking, over analyzing, separates my wisdom from Hive Mind
Withering my intuition leaving... opportunities behind

Feed my will to feel this moment
Urging me to cross the line
Reaching out to embrace my fandom
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come

I embrace my, desire to
I embrace my, desire to
Feel my fandom, to feel connected

Enough to step aside and embrace the F.O.
To feel inspired
To fathom the power
To witness the beauty
To bathe in the fountain
To swing on the spiral too
Swing on the spiral too

Swing on the spiral,
Of our mediocrity
And still, be a Canucks Fan

(and now comes a stanza that gives me a hard-on the size of the Alaskan Panhandle)

With my feet upon the ground,
I lose myself
Between the sounds
and open wide to suck it in
I feel it move across my skin
I'm reaching up and reaching out
I'm cheering for the fandom of my Canucks
And whatever this Team will be
Whatever this Team can possibly be

And following our will and wind, we may just go where no one's been
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going
Spiral out, keep going

Lineups to come tomorrow, when the text version from NHL.com is released, as I cannot use dailyfaceoff jersey lineups due to the image limit now being 15 instead of 50. I have submitted a request to return to 50 on the Main Board Thread.

could this be the game some guys might be their last? or saturday? hmmm. asset mangement perhaps..
Doubt it, based off of reports that they’re worried about the impression it will leave that they’re this close to the playoffs and are still sellers at the TDL.

Myers, Hughes, Garland and Hoglander are all missing from the (optional) morning skate today.

Wonder how many are nursing ailments, and how many (if any?) are possibly being held out in advance of the deadline.

* It bears noting, the Canucks beat writers think Hughes is watching the college game.
They'd never admit it, but it's such a coincidence it's Myers Garland and Hoglander that aren't skating in an optional skate. Three names that I could 100% see being shopped to address our needs (defense, cap space, forward prospect for defense prospect). But it's probably maintenance.

I am ready to be disappointed

Playing the Winged Wheel, they sure are not the team of yesteryear, not yet. They are only in their 2nd year of a rebuild so this should be a gimme game.
The Canucks have been fairly lucky this home stand, two real good teams that played the night before, but those were losses, another rebuilding team in their 3rd year, got a win in that one but had to work pretty hard and Demko stole it, now this game.
The next few are playing a top team, so a loss and another team so far down in the standing they need a flashlight to see the end of the tunnel.

So the Canucks might win two of the next 3 games, they should, but they should also dominate them. So far Demko has got them where they are, without him who knows.

As posted this game should be a gimme

But I will go with WW anyway. The schedule sure has made for a lot of false hope so far.

Really makes you wonder what this team's record would have been had they fired JB and TG in the offseason and brought in BB for a full season. Would they have been a 105+ point team like they have been since December 5?

Canucks are 22-9-5 under Bruce.
