I’m left handed and play golf right handed.

The theory is that if your dominant hand is your top hand, it improves your stickhandling. On the other hand, if your dominant hand is your bottom hand, it improves your shooting. On the other other hand, I'm left-handed and shoot left, and suck at both.

Edit: almost every natural left-handed person I've met who plays hockey shoots right, so I'm the oddball.

Left, except for golf...but even there I chip and putt left, swing away right. So there is a range where I have to decide which side of the ball to stand on. Does freak people out.

My hockey teammates think I use my backhand too much (and in tennis I hit a two-hander), and should have learned to play hockey right handed. Little late now.
