This will be an interesting one, firepower vs. firepower. Could be another 7-6 game.

After the beat down the Caps took last night, I fully expect them to come out playing hard. I sure hope the Leafs do the same.

Christ, after facing weak ass competition in the first 5 games we get thrown up against the Cup Champs. If Dallas, Ottawa, and Chicago can all put up 4+ goals against us Washington should probably be able to do that no problem. Unless Andersen stands on his head which (checks calendar) doesn't seem likely.

We'll need our powerplay to get chances and fire on all cylinders, and it'd be really nice to see some goals from our secondary guys, looking at you Kadri and Marleau.

This game will probably be a barn burner. Can't wait.

This is going to be the game where it's gonna be 2-1
historically, the Caps/Leafs are always close games (or one game has the blow out for both sides) so it's either gonna be what happened in Chicago - back and forth, or low scoring, but it's gonna be close from start to finish.

It'll be a good test that's for sure. Maybe they'll finally dial up their intensity. Not to mention it's a home and home against the Jets. (24th and 27th)

This should be a real good test for the Leafs to go against the Cup champs.

So far Leafs strength of schedule must be among the easiest in the league playing all non playoff teams and cellar dwellers from last year.

It's pretty safe to say that Ovie will get at least one against us.

Ovi comes out like an animal in the 1st, then can disappear the rest of the game. Can't have our trade marked slow start against Caps or we'll be chasing in a hurry.

The leafs need to use their speed to challenge guys in the defensive end, there was none of that in the third period last night in Detroit. If they commit to playing as fast in the d zone as they do in the o zone they should be fine.

Colour me shocked that you discount their start. Beat the Habs who smoked the Pens a couple nights later. Beat the Hawks and Stars who were both 2-0. Keep being a wet blanket tho.
