Here's my guess about this: Seguin's injury is a short term one, so Pete is thinking longer term with these line combos. Stankoven is slotting in now where Pete will play him for the rest of the season, and Dellandrea is keeping Seguin's seat warm.

The other theory which isn't as sexy and might get me sad reax..It's faceoff related.

Pete loves his 2 options on each line to take draws and probably doesn't want to need to rely on stank for his debut. So if he's with duchene and marchment then there wouldn't be a great back up if duchene got kicked out of the draw.

This line combo gives Pete his cherished security blanket of 2 guys able to do draws on all 4 lines.
