Both teams have an identical record, I find that very odd for some reason. Arizona been trending down since they acquired Hall but Habs may still find a way to lose.
That Hall seems to be good at helping teams lose, see Edmonton and New Jersey.

Although, in fairness this team’s drop off is more as a result of losing Darcy Kuemper to a long term injury, imho.

He was a rock for them and then went down the 2nd? Game after Hall came on board, I believe. Raanta hasn’t been the same goalie he was before his injuries unfortunately. Now the team wants to play offensive but doesn’t have guys like Demers, Hjalmarsson to cover up either.

Another playoff game tonight, that's what two 8 game losing streaks does to a team.

Losing every game to Detroit, losing record on home ice...
That's the weird thing about this team. They either play like the worst team in the league or they play at a solid playoff level. Every season includes highs and lows, but has any other team had such concentrated slumps as the Habs?

Edit:
A team they should beat means trouble, go Habs go!
The Coyotes are the most probable team to beat too. I can definitely see this as a trap game.
We can avoid it:

First game of a very tough week playing 4 games in 6 nights playing Arizona (home), Boston, Pittsburgh, and Dallas (home and 2nd game of a b2b). Sink or swim week.

Busy week ahead with some tough teams on the schedule.

This week could dash or fan the playoff drive flames.

Agreed on the difficult week ahead. This is from the Optimism Thread, posted a few games back. It's an interesting prediction to follow. I wish I could have "Liked" it more than once:
21-7 ain't that crazy. Just took a look at our Schedule coming up and there's some bad team that should be an automatic win if they are really still playing for their lives. Drouin should help us create more offensively as well.

I'm a Habs fan, but honestly, there isn't much worst than an injured goalie, especially as he got re-injured.
We've seen it with Price and I still feel like he's careful as his style is more conservative since that long-term injury of 15-16.
Thank you for the update @Fixxer & @sheed36 . I agree 100% on the gamesmanship aspect. Always prefer to meet & beat a foe at their best & never want to see a player get hurt. Darcy was having such a great season & it's brutal news to read.

Looks like no Kuemper for Arizona tonight. Adin Hill may get the start for the Coyotes tonight according to TSN690 with Raanta apparently also day to day with a LBI.

I'm only liking this because they just shortened their goalie by 5 inches.

We went from facing Bishop-level to normal-level. Kuemper was going to stonewall our shooters minus Kovy.

Alright, let's do this again I guess... 2-0 all-time, don't care about jinxes. o_O

6 Feb was Creemore Boundless IPA, 8 Feb was Mill St West Coast IPA and...

...tonight is a blue collar's beer, Steam Whistle from downtown T.O. Only a few ingredients, and a lot of passion. Kind of like the Habs.

Cheers. See you after the 1st.
