Hope to see the Yotes carry some momentum from the last game and put 100% out on the ice. Need all the points they can get right now to make sure they can be in decent position.

I like these lines:

Hall - Dvo - Garland
Soderberg - Richie - Fischer

With Hayton coming in, it's probably safe to assume Fischer is the one sitting.

Soderberg - Richie - Vinnie

That leaves

Keller - Hayton - Schmaltz
Crouse - Stepan - Kessel

As the remaining players.

Keller and Schmaltz lost their magic. Kessel has been god awful all year. I'd probably try:

Hall - Dvo - Garland
Keller - Hayton - Stepan
Crouse - Schmaltz - Vinnie
Soderberg - Richie - Kessel.

EDIT: You put one lazy piece of dog shit (Keller, Kessel, Schmaltz) with guys known to play decent defense and tries every shift.

Trade some package involving Vinny or Fischer for Eric Staal and that can look a whole lot better...

Hayton will probably be in Tucson for the two weeks. Get over it.

OEL and Demers are both out again tonight. Coyotes recalled Robbie Russo.

I really wouldn't touch the Hall line.

Hall-Dvo-Garland
Crouse-Hayton-Keller
Schmaltz-Stepan-Kessel
Soda-Richi-Hino

That third line may be too much of a reliability, but I could see Stepan playing back a little on breakouts while Schmaltz and Kessel zip through and do their thing. Or just flip Course and Schmaltz.

Keller, Kessel and Schmaltz should be the fourth line. Playing 5 minutes when the real players are really, really gassed. Certainly not on the PP. A problem they shouldn't be on the PK either, fourth-liners are normally used for that. Ok, Schmaltz can still probably kill.

I assume Tocchet not is willing to rotate them into the press-box.

I'd put Schmaltz and Keller back together with Soda or Stepan centering them and shelter their minutes to as many offensive zone starts as possible. We're paying those two a bunch of cash to score. I don't know if they will ever give a consistent effort but might as well try to squeeze some points out of them in limited minutes. Hopefully Chayka doesn't bring in any more soft forwards for a while.
