I didn't know Seth Jones had a little Michael Jackson in him. That "wooo" was impressive. I hope Weber is ok though. It looked to be a back issue which can be a very bad thing or it could be a simple pulled muscle. They will be cautious as a back injury is nothing to take lightly.

On Wilson, Trotz said 2 years ago they would try Wilson at center in the future. I hope he stays there, but I doubt it.

And to me this should've been done two years ago. Kid is a natural center, let's play him at wing and then wonder why he doesn't have a clue out there.

It never made sense to move Colin Wilson off center except to get him into the lineup. Then we kept piling up 3rd line centers without wings, and it never happened.

Trotz was glowing about Wilson's game afterwards, and he should be. He played really well.

Glad people are noticing how well he's looked the last two games, even without points. When the coaches take note, that's a good thing.

Spaling - 5th straight game with the most time on ice for Predator forwards. He is playing great right now. I don't think he should be our 20 minute man each night, but kid looks like he has found the fire he needs to become a 20 goal scorer. In an ideal setting, he would be our third line winger, not first .... but whatever.

Seth Jones' creativity is awesome. His speed. Awesome. He still makes mistakes, but he is talented enough to cover for most of them. I love watching him play.

Del Zotto looks good to me. At worst, this move was a lateral one. If we had better finishers, he would have 3-4 primary assists already.

Hutton with a true stinker. He elevated his game in the middle of the month, but he really struggled tonight (as he has for most of the season).

Weber is still a top 3 defensemen in this league. I hope he has a shot at the Norris. Trotz praised him today saying, "This is the best I have ever seen Shea play over the course of a season."
- That is huge praise.
- Eat that +/- statheads.

Agree with everything you said, but on the note of +/- how is Jones so much worse than everyone else in that category? I'm not saying he's a shutdown D-man, but his rating is considerably worse than our other defensemen. Seems a little odd.

Also, one other side note, has any goaltender in our history (except Vokoun/Mason from 05-07) gotten better offensive support than Hutton does? Seems like we score a bunch when he plays because we usually A.) need it, or B.) needed even more.

But, but, he plays when he cares. Wait, he only plays to get on team Canada. Wait, he just piles up points on the PP and doesn't care the rest of the game. Wait, he isn't a good leader. Wait, his ratio of even strength to PP points on Saturday nights when the weather is colder than 40 degrees isn't high enough.

For the record, the last two norris winning defenseman have essentially been PP specialists with minimal to no PK time and barely average even strength defense ability.

Weber is a shut down, physical beast, who eats minutes on the PK, ES, and PP. He gets less PP time than most of the offensive defensemen leaders, and yet he produces at extremely high pace. Why? Because he has a game changing slap shot as well.

He is the man.

Give this guy his credit.

He may have a huge contract, but we have already paid out over 25% of it. Let's enjoy the norris caliber, possibly future hall-of-famer while we have him.

I agree, its the first time i'v seen him play C as well. I'm sure he's just playing C while Cullen is out, but the optimistic part of me thinks Trotz is running him at C to get him ready to take over Leggy's spot at the deadline.

Also really likeing the Jones/MDZ pair, I'v yet to see any of those costly mistakes the rangers called out MDZ for.

I can definitely see that, I'm starting to see Poile/Trotz's vision going forward. Spaling and Wilson look good at center, I'm glad they are giving them some minutes to get ready for Legwand leaving.

Definitely a team in transition, but I'm still very excited about our future. Tonight's game definitely wasn't boring watching our youngsters.
