Saw a comment on the Rangers GDT that the Bruins reminded him of the old Soviet teams with the skating, cycling, rotation etc. Exactly what I was thinking at certain moments. Can be mesmerizing and only works in this era of "respectful" hockey.

To me its more of their passing skills that are like the old Soviets.

When the Julien Bruins were terrible (even in their best seasons) it was usually because their passing game terrible.

Right now, the B's have a first line that is great together, all real playmakers.

But their 2nd line had been a real sore spot for years, especially if Krejci was hurt. With him healthy, now he is flanked by two wingers who not only fly, but are both excellent dishers in Spooner & Debrusk.

Even the 3rd line now has an excellent playmaker in Heinen.

Adding McAvoy (maybe their best passer period) and Grzelcyk to Krug on the back end and they now have a guy that can make plays on each pairing.
