I hate how D on all teams will cross check any opposing player in front of their net and never get called. Nash is right when it comes to players drawing a slashing call when their stick is tapped and they drop it.

Agreed. Add to that the oddity of allowing a boatload of interference when defending a rush (after puck is passed defender), when they claim they want to increase scoring???

Then you have situations like the phantom trip on Hanzal against the Kings - where traditionally you only make a call like that late in a close game if it's blatant. :shakehead

Just some observations, they have a tough job and mistakes can easily be made, but in the case of the interference - that's most likely a mandate from above.

Hope they continue to develop? They have been developing all year and getting better and better. They will have their stretches like Duclair, but it is all part of adjusting to the NHL and maturing. You can add Strome to that list as well.

:handclap: Absolutely, been developing at a nice steady pace.

When we score, the Hawks were asleep, but if the Hawks score we are s---. Funny how that goes.:)

Too be fair the condition is somewhat endemic of the Hawks this season, but you've got to give a lot of credit to the boys and the coaching staff for getting that game turned around so dramatically.

How has Dvorak been doing of late?

I will forever hate David Rundblad.

Pretty well. Points aren't necessarily coming yet in bunches but he's developing chemistry with Perlini and had a really nice redirect goal last night. Getting close to 2C minutes though not quite. Getting a little better at faceoffs though he was beat up on that last night.

True, but this happens to whatever team we play. <mod>

They flat out smoked us in the first.

You got that right. It was so bad, I had to laugh. Not one of our D, not one, looked like a NHL player. But like you said, we have to give DT, the coaching staff and the players for making a game out of it.

How did Domi look? Who were his linemates?
As expected, Domi was on energy, low on execution (rusty). Played with Burmie and McGinn. Thought he and Burmie looked decent together......McGinn is another story.

Yeah McGinn just doesn't work on that line. Hopefully we can get Duclair back up not that Domi is playing.

Good to hear, thanks. Seen him play since he was 14 or 15. Thought for a while he'd be a very good NHL'er. Think the Coyotes got great value where they took him.
