I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, damnit!

Mod warning added:

Discuss the GAME, not other fans (Blues or otherwise). It's trolling, and it's not going to be tolerated.

This is your first and last warning before the infractions start to fly.

Any Backes update?

Nothing official.

I heard the hope last night was that he would skate today and a decision would be made on that, don't know if that is still the plan. I wouldn't hold my breath on him playing.

Backes needs to be in. If not, we actually lost on the Seabrook suspension and will have a lesser chance to win tonight.

interesting line combos:
20-17-91
9-12-74
29-21-79
32-40-75

love that first line

Absolutely!

Dont like the second line. Sure Roy will win a faceoff, then Scwhartz will crash the net and Oshie will shoot it from 10 feet out and miss wide.

Either way I am just happy Ott is off of the first line.

I am extremely nervous about this game. I got no key points or things I think the team should focus on. As I posted at the end the the last GDT, this game is a must win in my book otherwise this going to be the Kings series all over again.

That Steen-Sobotka-Tarasenko line looks pretty awesome.

Please win tonight. Must-win game, IMO. Maybe we'll get Backes back for game 6 but who knows.

I like those lines. I've always felt roy needs top notch lineman. I also like Steen and osh being broken up without backes between them. Reaves to the 4th line is also good

Anyone else wish Mag PI would get a chance?

I would sit Reaves for him. Blues need O so bad.

Id prefer switching Bergy and Roy. The Roy-Ott-Morrow line worked really well until injuries started popping up, at least reunite Ott and Roy and see if they still have any magic. I wouldnt even be opposed to putting Porter on that line over Cracknell.

The more I think about it, the more I would prefer Reaves staying in the lineup over PRV. I dont want Reaves getting any more than 3-4 minutes of ice time, but he is the insurance when Chicago starts playing out of control.

Paajarvi isn't going to be a difference maker offensively.

Not saying he would. But he adds to the offense a lot better than Roy or Reaves. One more goal in any of these games would make all the difference. I like Mag PI over Roy or Reaves.

Lots of guys are shooting wide and missing chances. Who knows what Mag PI could bring? Definitely more than a few other guys out there.

I'm not a Roy fan but he's much better offensively than Paajarvi, it's not even close.

And LOL Hitchcock:

David Backes didn’t skate with the team today, and Hitchcock offered no update other than to say he won’t rule him out tonight.

“You never know. He might just jump on the ice and be there, skating in warm-ups, and you can all press ‘send’ on your tweets.â€

Oh, and one other note from Hitchcock: Like Chicago, there are a lot of other rinks in St. Louis.
