Islanders doing it up big in their last season at the Coliseum with a home record of 17-4-0.
They're coming off yet another (3rd of the season) big emotional win over the Rags.

This will be the Bruins' last regular season visit to Nassau Coliseum.
"If the playoffs started today..."

It's been forever. NYI only scares me from the injury aspect, they have some guys who like to take runs at skill guys. Remember how we dominated them in that first game in the entire 3rd period with no Chara? If we play like we can we can win. They are 21st in GA. That D, while improved with Boychuk, is still bad.

5-2.

Isles looked good against the Rags, Bruins can't take a period off.

Been debating whether or not I should get a ticket to this one. Not sure if I want to make the drive for what might not be a solid effort.

Go Bs! I'm a little nervous about this one - I know we rallied a little bit after Chara was injured. Hope they don't do the same around Okposo. Sad that it's the last game in the Coliseum....love the old barns, but doesn't the visiting backup goalie has to sit somewhere strange? And speaking of backup goalies, what's up with Chad Johnson? He got a lot of hate on the main board when there was a post titled "Name Your Worst Player", or something like that...seeing his stats, I sort of see why, but, frankly, I liked him better than Sveddy. Sveddy's "athleticism" scares the crap out of me - he should have got an extra save the last game he played, because he made a save after nearly scoring an own goal.

How long before it stops feeling wrong to see the REAL Johnny Hockey (TM) in a fishstick hat?

I don't think this game is on Sportsnet 360 in Canada as stated in the first post.

It's only on SN Ontario and SN Pacific and so isn't on the Center Ice package it seems. Funny, it's been picked up to show 'nationwide' but if you don't have those channels BUT pay for Ctr Ice, no dice.

Unless anyone has other info? I hope?

Nice GDT though!

Like how that goon Tavares took out Chara's knee :sarcasm:

Seriously though, it feels like forever since the Bruins played last so I can't wait for puck drop.

I forgot about Ochocinco. Two first place teams in two years. Coincidence?

No Okposo helps, but Isles will still be damn hard to beat, hope for a Reg win with Bolts losing the other day, need to move up the standings through Feb to have a good position for play offs.

Hi, truth be told, I don't even know what those stations are. I just pull it from the Bs site.

Yay! It's game day.

Seems like it's been forever since we saw real hockey.

Islanders are good this season and they are going to be difficult to beat. Hopefully Chara doesn't get injured making a big hit on Tavares. Maybe the Islanders would give us Tavares for Bart, Caron and their picks :sarcasm: he and Bergy seem to have some chemistry.

Still miss Johnny B and think it qualifies as a dumb move by Chiarelli. Remember when he said it was the first of several moves? Still waiting for those other moves.

As usual the Clodefish strikes to remove a tough member of the opposing team. We got the Bolts with no Johnson, now the Fishsticks with no Okposo.

Gonna say 4-3 Bruins in a wild one.
