Can we really take a moment and appreciate the hell out of Lyon for keeping us in games and holding leads? He got peppered during the 3rd period and didn't cave. They threw nearly 20 shots at him in the 3rd, gave them nothing.

Lyon is our starting goalie.

So the goal gets credited to the last Wing to touch it before the faceoff if that happens, right? I've never seen an own goal off a clean faceoff win.

Good question. I think that's how they do it but am not 100%

He brings so much stability to the team. Making big saves, eating the puck and freezing the play. And unlike Husso can cover a lose puck with his glove.

b) Yes. They lost all of the other games where they scored 2 goals, including the last game.

Huge 4 point game. Detroit dominated the first 40 but after that Tampa really woke up in the third and fought back.

Lyon was huge for us but also we score 3-5 goals if not for Vasi in Vezina form

One huge difference from December is Seider's play. He's been playing great since new years.

Honestly it can be great to watch a game I have no vested interest in for that reason. I can actually appreciate the hockey more because I'm not puckered the whole game.
