A lot of that falls on transitioning starting with the D.
^This, times 1000. It's been so frustrating watching the D keep the puck behind the goal and not passing early enough and then the forwards have to come back to do another skate-by only to get a bad pass to the skates and turning it over.
Believe me, I have experience of this. The way Finns NT played for a long long time. It was the most ****ing ***ttiest thing to watch. Horrible memories from international play.
The worst part of it is that they have a decent passing lane to the first player that comes, but nooo they don't want to pass it to that guy. They must wait for the second guy. Mostly because "it was practised that way". Could work some creativity into it.
Let's hope Ruff keeps kicking the guy to get back to simple plays and build the confidence that way.
