McNiven may end up being sent down to 3R, but we know McNiven will need to agree to it. JF Houle said that if McNiven wants to see action and regain his confidence, he will need to play, and he'll get that in the ECHL. So for him, McNiven will need to strongly consider going down there.

after being out all year he plays 1 game, then goes on the covid list, then he plays 3 games in 4 days. Last game he was a -3 so I'm sure that doesn't help either. They still have a shit ton of games in the next 2 weeks so resting players that have barely played all year is a good idea.
