TODAY’S GAME

The Bruins host the Stars today for the first of two games between these teams this season & Dallas’ lone visit of the year to TD Garden … The Bruins are 24-10-7 this season and are 14-5-3 on home ice thus far … They are 3-3-0 against Central Division foes and 10-6-1 against the Western Conference.

The Bruins are opening the second half of their season with their 42nd game today … They will continue their 2-game home stand hosting Montreal on 1/17 before facing the Islanders in New York on 1/18.

They are opening today their 7th of 16 sets of 3-games-in-4-nights this season … They have gone 3-2-1 in game 1s, 3-1-2 in game 2s and 4-1-1 in game 3s of those series this season.

BOSTON vs DALLAS, LIFETIME SERIES

The Bruins and Stars are meeting for the 136th time in their histories (includes Dallas as Minnesota North Stars) with the Bruins having a 79-30-23-3 record and 526-357 scoring advantage in those contests.

The Bruins are 44-11-10-2 in 67 games played between the teams in Boston with a 280-165 scoring edge.

The Bruins have won the last 3 games between these teams, including a sweep of last season’s series, and they are 8-3-1 in their last 12 games overall vs. the Stars … They are 4-2-2 in their last 8 vs. the Stars in Boston.

Fun Fact: Dallas and Vegas are the only teams that the Bruins have never defeated in overtime … They are 0-3-8 lifetime vs. Minnesota/Dallas in OT.

How many other than I have to work and miss it today? Although I will be watching on my NHL app :)
Take a day of ! I did.

I still think they need to get McQuaid in. They can rotate. Having an extra d man is a good thing...especially heading into the playoffs.

Heading on to Boston soon.

HERE WE GO BRUINS...HERE WE GO :clap:

Bruins vs. Stars part 2 is my favorite start to a game ever. Makes me really miss the old Merlot line.

Anyway, 5-2 Bruins Bergeron(2-1), Marchand(0-4), McAvoy (2), Nash (1eng).

'Oh, there's brave Steve, there he is, brave Steve in the tunnel.'

lets Go Bruins! :clap:Make it 13 straight with at least a point!!:thumbu:

This could very likely be a game of special Teams

  • Since Nov. 18 the Bruins rank first in the NHL in 5-on-5 goals for/goals against ratio at 67.4 percent (60-29).
  • Since Nov. 18 the Stars rank third in 5-on-5 goals for/goals against ratio at 60.2 percent (56-37).

First day back to work since before Christmas. Watching the game as soon as I get home will be a nice change....and I'll be able to forward the commercials.

Have we reached a conclusion on whether or not we lost the Seguin Trade? And if so, how badly?

Sorry to bring it up but I need a little peace of mind and closure. This bothers me a whole lot more than the Dougie Hamilton/Debrusk/Barzal 2015 thing.

Yes, Boston loss the trade. Seguin hasn't led Dallas to the Promised Land, but Chiarelli gave up a budding superstar for 50 cents on the dollar.

But have we figured out the reason we did it?

Hamilton and his family wanted out apparently, but what is the excuse in Seguin case?

Did he not get along with Julien? Did he ask out?
