He's not going to figure it out in the D-zone. It's actually quite incredible how an NHL dman can be so lost when defending. He has to serve a very specific role to be useful. Luckily for us he's come big on the PP and hasn't cost us much on ES yet.

I know, he's 29 and he is what he is.....but I like his skating, can QB a PP......but that's about it.
