man. those stupid turnovers.....

oh drat, you can't see this. basically, TML did stats of all three games, and it's so.. close.
they've outshot us 20 more times, and their faceoff is 58% but everything else (minus you know, a win, and goals for) is us.

The leafs keys to winning the next game let alone the series is to hit. They need to be aggressive and check the Bruins right into the ice. Any time they touch the puck they are hit and finish the check not just bump and glide off. Wear them down get under their skin keep that up and the Leafs have a chance.

They also need to use their speed, use the dump and chase keep the Bruins defense on there heels, this is a very winnable series for Toronto, and they just keep going away from what works. Like last game they played decent in spurts where they hit and used their speed to their advantage.

We also need to be a lot more mean around our own net. Any time someone come close to the net get on them just like the Bruins have been doing. It should start and end with Dion, he's done little to nothing in the series and needs to be a Catalyst for the team in the physical department.

Why does Grabo take a demotion, after being a bright spot through 3 games, with his intensity and compete?

Yeah he shouldn't. Grabo's puck possession and compete in the first three games have been big for us. Hoping for more of the same tomorrow.

Carlyle had the team in a good mood today and they saw positives in their third period play. I hope Carlyle has pointed out to them that in a fresh game at 0-0, you aren't going to get a complacent Bruins team that will fall into lazy defending with a lead in the last period. You're going to have to earn every bit of offensive zone time as you can. The Bruins may have sat back in the third period but the Leafs were doing all of the things that made them successful in the second period. They were making clean passes and they were utilizing their speed. If they don't pay attention to those two elements in their game, they stand no chance.

Hopefully they'll feel much settled right out of the gate tomorrow now that they have that first playoff home game out of the way. Once can only hope. They've scored in every game this series. They know they can do score, they know how they have to do it, now they have to make sure do the little things that leads to those opportunities. You won't ever score a goal unless the other team makes a mistake. Neither team will likely play perfect hockey so the Leafs need to take a page out of the Bruins books and make sure to capitalize on those mistakes as often as possible because you know they aren't going to give you a laundry list of mistakes to work with.
