I don't think the injury excuse works that well in the NHL unless the guy injured is named Crosby or McDavid. Too many teams have constant injuries in hockey.

The Coyotes have One 5 on 3 goal going back to the start of last season. And it's not for lack of opportunities, they are 5th in 5 on 3 opportunities.
