Since coming here Wedge gives up around 3 goals a game with a save percentage of about .910 . Incredibly consistent at that. A competent team can win most games with that type of goaltending. It's not going to wow anybody but those are good backup numbers.

Wedgewood has faced 0.554 shots per minute played as a Star. Oettinger has faced 0.490 over the same seasons (I'm too lazy to limit it merely to games since Wedgewood was acquired). Wedgewood tends to get starts against inferior teams. Sure seems like Wedgewood gets more of a raw deal.

Agree with the notion that on this stars team if the goalie can keep it to 3 most nights the team going to either win or get to OT and accrue points pretty much every night...that's all we need at moment.

Won't be too many regulation losses when 3 are let in.

When the big games come, different story. But for now is a big help

When you give up rebounds like he does he's gonna face more shots against. His rebound control is terrible

At his absolute best Khudobin did give up a ton of shitty rebounds too. Most of the time sub-par rebound control is what stops a good backup from ever becoming a fulltime starter.
