- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
ScheduleOCT-13_zpsf317d996.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

It's my birthday and I have an awesome hockey record on my birthday. Richards scores, Carter scores and Kings win big.

The Kings dominated at home last year and hopefully that trend continues this year starting tonight. The players feed off the energy of the crowd and hopefully the house is rocking tonight.
I think they come out flying in the 1st and since the Rags have been strugglng so far this year, pre season and vs the Coyotes (and the parts of the game I watched) they didn't look very shapr, esp in their own end, I think the Kings could come out ofhte 1st up by a couple goals.
I'd love to see the Kings top 2 lines establish themselves and do damage, get some ES goals, dominate.

San Jose is off to their usual quick start. I would like to see the Kings keep pace right out of the gate, because over the long haul I think the Kings can wear down just about every team in the Pacific Division.

I don't care if they win or lose right now, to be quite honest. I just want to see a full 60 minutes and proof that the defense isn't in as dire straights this year as I think it is.

I'd like to see a goal or two from Kopitar and Ricahrds too... I agree though, our defense has looked, how you say in America? ******.

I don't think it's in as dire straights as you may think, but I also think it's going to take more than 3 games for it to work back to where it should be. Mitchell obviously isn't back in game shape yet, he's been slow and consequently out of position a bit, and Greene is going through one of his bad spells where he's overdoing some things. Remember that Greene missed almost all of last year too though. I think it'll take Mitchell a couple weeks to get back and that Greene will work though it in a few games.

For RR I'm not sure what to expect, honestly. As long as he's simply solid defensively so that Doughty can do his thing most of the time, Doughty can cover up any lapses that may arise, so his performance doesn't worry me as much. Sure, I'd rather he be better than that, but after watching Doughty carry his pairing all last year, I don't find it all that concerning.

Edit:
Has it seemed to anyone else that our defense has been giving up the blueline more easily than normal? I remember thinking last game that they weren't standing guys up at the blueline much.

The Rags haven't looked good yet and we are the much better team. I like early season games like this one, every game is a big game some more than others but after giving up 4 goals last game we get to see if the boys are taking it on themselves to come in and dominate this game. To return to being the very best hockey team in the world they are going to have to dig deep again.

Tonight would be a good night to start!

Are they SUPPOSED to win this one...? Even without Stepan, the Rangers are a pretty good team.

It's an east team. I too couldn't give a flying **** if we lose. Obviously I want to win but its not too bad to lose. Like others have said, I want a solid effort. I want AMart. I want Quick to not give up a softie. And I want Clifford to sit.
