Just as a reminder, Bergeron is approaching two milestones: 300 goals (@ 293 now) and most importantly, 1000 games with the Bruins (@ 966).
Was Chara the last Bruin to hit 1000 NHL games? He's not too far behind Bergeron for 1000 games just as a Bruin.

I don't understand the 16 minutes unless they are easing him back in. He's gottta be at least 17-18

Game 1 = 15:23
Game 2 = 15:56
Game 3 = 16:46**
**Bergeron served a 2 minute DoG penalty. That's 2 minutes he's not available.

It seems like there's a good chance they're easing him back in. Not the worst thing. It's only Game 3 after all.

Not like it’s a bad thing that your best players play a bit less when you’re winning 6-3 anyways?

Your big boys playing less is a good thing. It’s a marathon and all that.

do we have the technology to clone Bergeron???

Don’t be greedy - we’ve already done the next best thing and put Zack from the year 2033 in a time machine and renamed him Cedric. It’s all about the long game.

I was just thinking about HOF/Jersey retirements - Chara’s a given, and I’m now 99% sure that 37 will be in the rafters next to 33 fairly soon after Bergeron retires. Sometimes a game like this reminds you of the incredible talent we have in Bergeron.

at some point we need to get rid of the mantra of get krejci the proper wings and he will flourish.. plays just fall dead on his stick wayyy too many times. i get that donato has not looked good, but krejci is almost right there with him. sure he gives more effort than donato, or atleast appears to, but the results just dont seem to be there..when do we say get debrusk and player x , the center they need. i know center is a tough position to acquire talent but im so sick of watching the same krejci act year after year. ill probably get torched up for this, but i had to write it out

Guys will be fine just need a finisher for David and we will be firing all cylinders . Hope Nash comes back.
please, are you serious? We should hope for someone like Grabner or Vanek falling to us. Also, I think Vegas will fall down to Earth and face reality - if we could get a good trade for Pachioretty (I think he makes a ton, but if they take Backes....wishful thinking) If Calgary falls apart and doesn't make the PO - may be we could get Neal.
But Nash, the floater and PO LOOSER? thanks no thanks.

David does need a serviceable winger though.

you would deserve getting torched up for this. The only downside to David are his injuries.

Its understandable. After 3 games he's a minus player with only a single point. Not exactly the start that would change someone's opinion.

I didn’t see this, and posted something similar in the “Lines” thread. As I said there, I like Krejci, but he hasn’t looked good.

DeBrusk isn’t a “serviceable” winger?

David Krejci is the highest paid player on the Bruins...

Let that sink in.

Ryan Donato with a minus 2. He didn’t play well. 3rd line might be good for a little bit.

I agree Donato has not looked good. I will however say I would like to see him spend at least ten games with Krejci and Debrusk to see if they can build chemistry and if his overall game can improve. There is no doubt he has a big offensive upside and would rather let him try and develop his defense

I thought in the first period last night the Krejci line had some great zone time , there was one shift I was wondering if the Bruins were on the power play they were moving the puck around great . Now they didn’t sustain that throughout the game but it’s early I am not giving up on that line or Donato just yet .

He has looked passive. Hopefully he picks it up and the line starts generating. Debrusk seems to be the only spark plug on that line. Maybe a demotion to 3rd line would help? My bigger concern is Donato. Through 3 games he is a -2 with a tap in pp goal. 0 assists and 0 hits.

Yes this might seem like me pushing for Cehlarik, however, i think many of us agreed Donato did not have a good pre season and it's carrying into the regular season. Cehlarik did everything that was asked of him. Drive the net, play both ends, and put up points. Perhaps some AHL time might be a good thing / reminder. He never did experience that time. Anyone believe a condition of Donato signing with the Bs was FT NHL no AHL?

Donato isn’t really doing that line any favors though. What Krejci makes doesn’t matter right now, it’s about finding lines that work. Krejci isn’t what he used to be, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t give him a better RW than a rookie who looks lost most of the time.

I see your point on Vatrano...someone here said Donato looks a little lost. That's probably a fair assessment.

Cassidy/Don S must be a little concerned about the lack of scoring up the line up. One of our top line players out with any injury could become a little sketchy.
