LET'S GO BOYS!

Dallas is a good team, but on the bright side I met TWO count em TWO Leaf fans at open hockey this morning in sunny LA. Three Leaf fans on one sheet of ice? 3k miles (45,000,000 km) away from TO? That's gotta be a sign. Let's show em how HARD we are and get a big W eh?

I wanted Holland with Kessel and JVR. But then we'd probably have a bad second line if its raymond-kadri-kulemin. Just don't see that working.

So I'd rather take the gamble that the first line lights it up with kadri. I'm praying they find the chemistry they had last season, because kadri did not look very good on the limited first line time he's had this season.

Kessel-Kadri-JVR have the potential to be a crazy good line and be on fire, and god knows we need that right now

I'd keep Orr but I wouldn't lose sleep if he was traded/waived.

My lines for tonight with D'Amigo and assuming Bozak is injured.

JVR - Kadri - Kessel
Raymond - Holland- Kulemin
Ashton - Smith - Clarkson
D'Amigo - McClement - Orr
McLaren

I love this lineup, especially D'Amigo with McClement. I think them with Kulemin would be a great shutdown line.

Just like in the playoffs injuries force Carlyle to play a competent roster!

Of course that would be more true if McLaren and Fraser were scratched but baby steps...

Need to grab a W tonight, the schedule doesn't get any easier from here on out.

Why isn't Bodie back up yet? I thought he played well with us for the beginning there... Same with Broll & Devane

Under our current circumstances, this is what I'd like to see:

JVR-Holland-Kessel
Kulemin-Kadri-Clarkson
Raymond-Smith-Bodie
Broll/Devane-McClement-Ashton

Just like Rosehill in the past, he played well in training camp but completely fizzled out as the season progressed. He wasn't hitting much nor was he much involved in anything.

He's a decent AHL callup though but he's not a regular player.

D'Amigo deserves his call up. We'll see if he can impress.

You have 23 man max roster limits (excluding injured players) and unless your suggesting Orr & McLaren and others on waivers and replaced you can't "play the kids" when you have a full house of players under contract to your NHL team.

I see Holland being more effective with JVR and Kess rather than Kadri.

Holland plays a more vertical game whereas Kadri dipsy doos horizontally a bit more. Neither are wrong but I see Kadri being more effective with someone like Raymond.

With Smithson waived we have room for Bodie. And with Bozak just placed on the IR, doesn't that give is room for one of Broll/Devane? Or is that spot taken up with D'Amigo's call up.

Whats the status on Bozak's MRI? Kessel leaving practise early? Is Cody Franson back in the lineup? God this team is a wreck right now

any confirmed line-ups for tonight's game?

Also has there been any preview or anything from HBO, like a 1 minute clip of what they have shot so far

There's a thread on here for that. I added 2 clips yesterday. Look under "HBO 24/7 Goalie Interviews (Reimer and Howard)" thread.

This is far from a gimme, but if we can play as well as we have the past couple of games, we should win this one. Or at least could.

It'll be nice to see Smithson and Orr out of the lineup, at least, leaving only McLaren and Fraser as the two useless hacks still in there. Still, 2 of them is better than 4.

my best guess at the lineups (there's a chance that both teams could run 7 dmen out there tonight, actually, so both the defense pairs and the 4th lines are iffy calls until gametime):

GO LEAFS!!!!

Seconded...

Hoping the lines are one of the following:

JVR - Holland - Kessel
Kulemin - Kadri - Clarkson
Mayray - Smith - Ashton/D'amigo
D'amigo - McClement - McLaren

or

JVR - Kadri - Kessel
MayRay - Smith - Clarkson
Kulemin - Holland - Ashton/D'amigo
D'amigo - McClement - McLaren

First line-up has an offensive line, a somewhat 2-way line (Kadri's been okay defensively, Kulemin's elite, Clarkson's okay), a sheltered scoring line (Mayray, Smith + Ashton/D'amigo... Ashton/D'amigo will bring some physicality/defensive play), 4th line that can provide energy and actually play (minus McLaren).

Second line-up has our offensive stars on the 1st line, our secondary scorers on the 2nd line, our better 2-way/physical guys on the 3rd line, and same 4th line.

Since it's against the Leafs, you can guarantee he'll play and probably pot a few goals to boot.
