The Minnesota Wild (15-7-6) will play the Vancouver Canucks (11-12-8) at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday.
It begins a stretch of six of the next seven games at home for the Wild after returning home from a three-game road trip that Minnesota finished 1-0-2 on.
Earlier this season, the Canucks defeated the Wild 3-2 in Minnesota. Thomas Vanek and Charlie Coyle each scored for the Wild, and Radim Vrbata had two goals, including the game-winner, for Vancouver.
The Wild carries a season-high seven-game point streak (4-0-3) into the game on Tuesday. That includes a current five-game stretch in which the Wild has allowed four goals, two of which have come at even-strength, and two in regulation.
Darcy Kuemper is expected make his fourth consecutive start in goal for Minnesota. Kuemper has taken over after Devan Dubnyk sustained a mild groin injury on Dec. 5.
Yeo said on Monday that Dubnyk is close to a return, and that Dubnyk will back up Kuemper against the Canucks.
The Canucks are coming off a 4-0 loss against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. Ryan Miller started in goal for Vancouver and made 26 saves on 29 shots.
The loss came after the Canucks had won two straight against the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers.
Vancouver's win against the Wild at Xcel Energy Center is one of the Wild's three home regulation losses this season, tied for the fewest in the NHL. Minnesota's 10 home wins are tied for second-most in the League.
