Game tonight!

:nucks @ :wild

NHL:
The Minnesota Wild (15-7-6) will play the Vancouver Canucks (11-12-8) at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday.

It begins a stretch of six of the next seven games at home for the Wild after returning home from a three-game road trip that Minnesota finished 1-0-2 on.

Earlier this season, the Canucks defeated the Wild 3-2 in Minnesota. Thomas Vanek and Charlie Coyle each scored for the Wild, and Radim Vrbata had two goals, including the game-winner, for Vancouver.

The Wild carries a season-high seven-game point streak (4-0-3) into the game on Tuesday. That includes a current five-game stretch in which the Wild has allowed four goals, two of which have come at even-strength, and two in regulation.

Darcy Kuemper is expected make his fourth consecutive start in goal for Minnesota. Kuemper has taken over after Devan Dubnyk sustained a mild groin injury on Dec. 5.

Yeo said on Monday that Dubnyk is close to a return, and that Dubnyk will back up Kuemper against the Canucks.

The Canucks are coming off a 4-0 loss against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday. Ryan Miller started in goal for Vancouver and made 26 saves on 29 shots.

The loss came after the Canucks had won two straight against the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers.

Vancouver's win against the Wild at Xcel Energy Center is one of the Wild's three home regulation losses this season, tied for the fewest in the NHL. Minnesota's 10 home wins are tied for second-most in the League.

On an unrelated note, date format should always be: MM/DD/YY

Anything else is against the laws of nature.

Assertive: "We owe Vancouver for what happened out there last time. Go out and get revenge!"

I've been playing too much Football Manager lately...

DD/MM/YYYY - actually makes a lot of sense.

Yup! I can live with both formats though. But the most irritating dates are 01/01.. 02/02.. 03/03.. and so on. Because it's nearly impossible to identify which one is the day and which one is the month. Really confusing.

I almost always use letters for the month-- 15 Dec 2015. Another solid option is year first: 2015-12-15. Nobody manages to **** that one up, because it's very obviously in order from least granular to most granular, and as a bonus you can sort them on a computer alphabetically and they come out in order.

On a related note, there are two kinds of measurement systems: the US system, and the kind that haven't put a man on the moon.

There's only one correct way to tell the date and that's with ALL WRITTEN ALL CAPS. MOTHER****ING FIFTEENTH OF DECEMBER, TWOTHOUSANDFIFTEEN.

I'm actually thinking that they should get rid of these confusing 01/01, 02/02 dates. Just like in many passenger planes, the row 13 is missing, because some people don't like that number. They could just skip those confusing dates (one in each month) and add an extra day to the end of the month.

Simple solution, problem solved.
