But, but, but Houle sucks.........The kids continue to develop under him despite all the crying from the stat watchers at the beginning.

Very heartening.

Thought they'd be cooked with Struble leaving but I'm sure Xhekaj hasn't hurt much.

Christ that assist was gorgeous. That bank pass to himself to start that breakout in the 3rd was mighty crafty too. I'm thinking the offence is too good for him to not be a net positive. Really hope he can vastly improve that D.

The whole team looks night and day better. Roy and Kidney creating chances. Farrell's got a good shot and hasn't displayed it much of yet until tonight. Trudeau seems to be turning it back around. Simoneau looking more like he did in the Q. Don't know if he's an NHLer or he has much more room to improve but he's feisty as hell and a damn fine passer. Dobes keeping the impressive start run going.

Looks like the whole team might be turning a corner. Getting Farrell and Andersson back sure ain't going to hurt.

I don’t know what to think of him at times, but he did predict on the nose that it would be rocky up until around Christmas because of all the rookies…

Most posters who hate him can not articulate a concise, accurate critique of his work.

He is the boogeyman under their bed that keeps them up at night, the witch who is blamed for the plague, the malevolent deity cited for the drought that caused the crops to burn........because an answer is required for the things that they can not explain, this behaviour has been common group think since the dawn of man.

I suspect from personal experience that none of these people would espouse the same opinions if they were ever exposed to the inner workings of the staff and directives from senior management. Scapegoats and Strawmen are just so much easier to attack than trying to formulate solutions to complex problems, especially in the absence of accountability.

There is nothing wrong with posters sharing criticism's on a message board, however the quality and integrity of these discussions needs to be raised above the level of tribal rants. It is ok to say that you are unsure of whether you like Houle or not or even to say that you don't like him but you don't know why. These are honest comments and are far more palatable than the bias/agenda driven mob behaviour that drags this board into the mud where the loudest posters thrive and nuanced discussion is trampled to death.

You are right that this team is turning the corner.
The young guys had to learn some hard lessons early and are now acclimated to the AHL.
Dobes has 4 straight wins and is looking great.
