Yeesh. A lot of pessimism here after a tight loss to the defending cup champs. Hard to imagine a lot of goals here against a defense that's making Ben Scrivens an allstar....when we already make every goalie we play look like an allstar.

Nevertheless I think were bound to end up with some bounces and come out on the right side of some of these games. Even the pessimists would have to admit we aren't playing all that bad as a team in this downward spiral.

It's funny the second year Vancouver won the PT and last year Vancouver wasn't dominating at all, and looked very mediocre despite winning a lot of games. Their deficiencies were masked by elite goaltending from Schneider and they were exposed hard in the playoffs with Luongo starting against LA and SJ and Schneider being terrible against SJ.

Now they can actually take it to the good teams (much like 2011) but they lack finishing and don't even have goaltending that can match the opposition.

It's a very funny season to be watching for sure. Very frustrating as you can't really ask them to be playing much better...just maybe hope they can get some luck on the offensive side of the game.

Might be time to give Lack more starts too. Luongo isn't winning Vancouver any games, Lack can't really do any worse. Maybe give Lack a chance he might be able to make the extra save. If we're going to lose 2-1 give Lack some experience.... he looked good last time out against LA, Anaheim and STL.
