I figured there was a nuance I was missing. I knew it was 25 games in one season but was unaware of the 6 games in consecutive seasons.

What a comeback! That ended up being so much fun, and I need reasons to smile these days (had to say goodbye to my beloved cat, Peanut, on Friday, and have been wrecked since then). I can't remember the last time I was as happy about the Sharks as when Eklund got the OT winner.

Can we talk for a second about what a smart player Eklund is? His hockey brain is pretty elite for his age, imo, and we're seeing it more and more on display since he's been on Hertl's line.

I don't know what his ceiling is in terms of production, but I see a player who has enough skill and, despite valid worries about his size before this season, has shown enough strength and defensive awareness that I think he'll be able to successfully slot in on any line for years to come and be an asset. Let's not forget, he just turned 21 in October, and now has 5G and 5A in his last 15 games (I feel like that lines up pretty much with around when he joined Hertl's line).

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: EK72 is the real deal! I’m looking forward to many years of seeing him in teal.

Great game for alot of players. Granlund has looked really good lately, and I think we could trade him next season for something good. Eklund and Hertl are just an awesome pair. If we pick a forward in the top-3 this year I'm liking the offense moving forward, but our D will need alot of work in the next couple drafts/trades. To add though, Okhotiuk is solid and fun to watch.
