We're going to have to replace multiple defenders (all PK guys as well) through trade/UFA this summer which will be hard enough even *if* Edler is re-signed.

I don't usually harp about penalties, but its amazing we did not get a pp in the last 10 min. Their were probably 3 or 4 clear cut infractions and a dozen smaller ones that could have been called. That plug Forbort had 5 on one shift alone

Sometimes the Jets play a Lady Byng-like game where they simply cannot be called for penalties.

It is what it is.

He's still effective in the right role, can be signed below market value, and we need him to fill that spot.

Could hit 1000 games as a Canuck before the end of next season, too, which would be a nice moment. This franchise hasn't had nearly enough career Canucks.
