I think it's safe to come off the "waste of a pick" ledge. Physically he has tools that Schlemko can only dream of. He doesn't look out of place at all. Certainly makes the logjam on D all the more interesting.

I never thought Murphy was a waste of a pick. A gamble definitely because of the injury history, but the tools and pedigree were there. So far it looks like he belongs out there on the ice.
