No. I feel he thought Scrivens was ready enough to be a back up instead of a monarch goalie. He knew the kings had better defense as well, so it was a no brained that he'd most likely do better on the kings than the leafs.

I think he was well aware of it, hard not to be given how well Scrivens played last year, esp last year when Reimer was out hurt. And he did that on a Leafs team with a shaky D in front of him. That had to be taken into consideration. DL has said that was a large part of the reason JB went to the Leafs.
