Had a feeling we'd be meh. We looked so lazy and uninterested in preseason and that's easy to write off as "just preseason" but its exactly how we looked last night.

And now we don't have Stone and Lehner is playing less than optimally. Smells like a rough start to the season.

Also random gripe but there's a thread on the main boards showing a fight in the stands during the Seattle-Nashville game.

VGK fans: anecdotal story of VGK fans berating out of town fans and calling names
HFboards: biggest asshole fanbase in hockey

Nashville fans: gang up to beat the shit out of a Kraken fan
HFboards: meh, context matters.

This probably almost feels like a preseason/insignificant game to the players. Last season the first game didn’t happen until January 14 and with a shortened season there was immediately more urgency.

Now the season is much longer, the all-star game is months away, and it feels like there is plenty of time to get things going.
