They (Guerin and those guys) probably let Sully do his own thing when he came in last season. Now with a new season and a full training camp, they're probably in his ear about Kunitz playing with Sid when he comes back. It's always seemed to me that one of those guys in mgmt is adamant that Kunitz plays with Sid, even when it's going horribly.

Fine . . .

Only d-pairing struggling is #3 and #6. I know they need more time to figure it out. Daley seems to play better with Dumo. Maatta is definitely having his rough moments.

That's five prime opportunities from Conor by my count.

1. The one he got
2. His pass/fanned shot to Cullen when he had the open net at the end of the first
3. His whiff on the open net in the second
4. Shot that hit the knob of Bernier's stick
5. Fanned one timer with an open net beckoning

The one he scored on was probably the lesser chance of all of them.

Kudos to Sully for sending Cullen out with Horny and Wilson there.

Maybe I haven't been watching close enough, but I have barely noticed Maatta tonight. The only play that stands out to me was his tripping penalty.

At this point someone will have to lodge the puck in Sheary's equipment and then dropkick him into the net for him to get on the board again.

Very disconcerting

Watching Anaheim broadcast ....

"I don't think we are going to see any more penalties in this game."

I'd say maybe he could drop kick himself, but he'd end up five feet wide.
