Disagree - don't think it has anything to do with coaching.
Said it at the time when people where saying he was done. He was playing with Trotman, C. Miller, K. Miller on the first pairing and was trying to do everything.
C. Miller has gotten better but half a dozen times a game you'd see him out of position or making a bad d-to-d pass that would hand-cuff Chara or get beat and hope Chara would bail him out. But because C. Miller was the shiny new toy and could skate, people would blame Chara. I hated watching that pairing when people seemed like they refused to see all the mistakes C. Miller was making on the ice.

In 2015-16, Chara spent just 10% of his EV ice time paired with Colin Miller.

In 2016-7, it was under 4%.

I would love every Bruins to occasionally do some dumb **** if they played like Marchand. We would have a hell of a team.
Watched"Bobby Orr and the Big Bad Bruins" on NESN this week.Twice. And I'll watch it again and again. It never gets old. Marchand would have been a perfect fit with that era. Skill, Savoir-faire, Swagger and then kill ya' with a dagger. He comes from that gilded age. Derek had that in your face, I'm gonna beat ya' swagger too. Brad is the same mold, only a better goal scorer. And that on the edge, what'll they do next, borderline nut job stuff is just part of the package, for better or worse.

t...this leaf team isn't as fast as they claim to be, the defence can't handle any amount of pressure, the weak offensive players provide little support, and the coaching is horrendous.

The leafs had an opportunity to trade one of Marner Matthews ... they didn't. The haul for those players would have brought them a contending team for years.

You can't have 3 $11 million dollar offensive players on a team. It's fundamentally ridiculous.

Grizz was good last night- it looks like his offensive game has stepped up a notch. Not a Krug replacement at this point, but doing a credible imitation on the PP and remains the best on the team at getting out of the d-zone cleanly.

Hes a better skater / puck handler than krug by a mile though. Way better defensive IQ as well.

Krug just takes more risk in the offensive zone

Great to get a regulation win. Even better it's against the Leafs. Crazy how bad the Leafs look even in the face of Boston playing a mediocre game with a lot of mistakes. Marchy pretty much won this one for the Bs with his awesome second effort goals. The Toronto D is a mess. Unless some changes are made that team is going nowhere in the playoffs. They are not even close to being a team that can make a deep playoff run.

So true. He's a game breaker.

Yonge Street?
