Big Game Story: This is the first of two meetings, with the second coming in Buffalo on Nov. 12. The Buffalo Sabres and Los Angeles Kings rarely face one another -- their most recent meeting came more than two seasons ago -- though the Sabres are 3-0-1 against the Kings since the 2008-09 season. One of these teams is coming off a loss, and the other a win. Can you guess which is which? The answer may surprise you.
The 30th-place Sabres won their third game of the season on Tuesday night, a back-and-forth, 5-4 shootout with the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center, to start a three-game California road trip. The Kings have been off since Saturday, when their comeback bid against the Nashville Predators came up short in a 4-3 defeat. Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr will face his former team for the first time since Buffalo traded him to Los Angeles on April 1, 2013, for two second-round draft picks. GO KINGS GO !!!

- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -
ScheduleOct292013_zpsc74511a1.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

These games are scary. Buffalo coming off a regulation win against the Sharks. Deceptive team with evident problems, sounds like a perfect solution to beat us :P Hopefully the days off have us refocused and healed up a little bit. Let's get a strong win, GO KINGS!

No offense to Buffalo, but we better beat these guys harder than a stolen car in a demolition derby

Buffalo beat the Sharks in the shootout, and only because the refs and Toronto were incompetent. But you're right, this game is a recipe for disaster for the Kings...

Buffalo's again scratching the two young Russians, in Grigorenko and Zadorov, while Scott serves the final game of his seven-game suspension. Rolston liked how Foligno responded in Monday's practice to an almost benching and dressed him over Grigorenko for San Jose. The subsequent shootout win means that the Sabres' lineup will remain the same tonight, except with Enroth in goal. Anaheim scored six times glove-high on Enroth in his last outing, so it'll be interesting to see if the Kings have the same book on him or if they'll go with a more tried-and-true method, like five-hole or cross-ice (ie. get the small goalie moving). Anyway, here's the Buffalo lineup:
26 Matt Moulson – 19 Cody Hodgson – 63 Tyler Ennis
9 Steve Ott ("C") – 82 Marcus Foligno – 78 Corey Tropp
28 Zemgus Girgensons – 22 Johan Larsson – 65 Brian Flynn
23 Ville Leino – 8 Cody McCormick – 21 Drew Stafford
X: 25 Mikhail Grigorenko, 32 John Scott

10 Christian Ehrhoff ("A") – 3 Mark Pysyk
20 Henrik Tallinder – 57 Tyler Myers
4 Jamie McBain – 55 Rasmus Ristolainen
X: 61 Nikita Zadorov

1 Jhonas Enroth
30 Ryan Miller

The Kings scoff at your notion of sniping high glove and would rather fire 30 crest-snipes high chest.

Thank you for the report and lineup, though--much appreciated!

Nice turn of a phrase!

And I think they will dominate tonight, that last game had to leavea bitter taste and they've had all week to think about it.

Looking forward to more of TT tonight, and I have the feeling he'll get at least one goal.
And looking forward to Vey and hoping he plays his way iup to the 3rd line ...soonish.

Stay out of the box
Continue to dominate in the circle
Tighten up the zone on PK and be active there, dictate rather than react.
Pot at least one PP Goal
Become a attacking forechecking machine, take it and keep the pressure in their zone.

GKG
5-1 win

As a Buffalo native who hates the Sabres and their annoying fans (not the HF ones, the casual ones), please let us win tonight and Tuesday.. Handily.
