1/2 is generous. 1/4 is more like it. Same old Bruins even with Chara gone. If it’s just a bad game, Gotta question leadership and coaching for not being ready to play. But I think it’s the reality of what this team is. Bad at breakouts.

Coyle seems to be having lots of games where he’s unnoticeable. He needs to up his tempo. He has the body and the skill he lacks a mean streak. We need an angry Coyle.

Kuraly not his typical plucky self. He stinks offensively.

My first game ever was Bruins-Devils in 93 or 94. I don't remember it super well, being that I was 4, but apparently Neely had a Gordie Howe hat trick that night.

Bs formula is usually outwork their opponent and rely on the PP for scoring. They did half of that tonight, albeit against the worst PK in the NHL. NJ has a lot less talent than the Bs, but simply played harder and smarter. Bruce had to be near stroke level during the game.

Bruins better look in mirror and realize they need to work hard as a team 60 minutes because they are not a high octane offence.

Can't win them all. Breaking out has been a massive problem and O zone play 5v5 has not been good either. Hopefully they turn it around soon.

The Devils looked very fresh and they made us pay for our mistakes. We didn't deserve to win today, our effort was mediocre from the start.

What has once more become obvious is that we definitely need to improve our bottom lines. Also, for those of you who use every opportunity to criticize Krejci: You become aware of his impact on the team when he's absent. If he's out, the Bruins almost entirely lose their playmaking, especially on powerplay. We should bear in mind that we don't have anyone to replace him with.

With him in the lineup they are 11-10-6. That's an 82 game pace of 85 points.
